The Honda BF8 is a compact, portable outboard engine renowned for its superior reliability and economy, with responsive power and performance. If you have an inflatable boat, a RIB or a tender, the Honda 8hp is not only easy to transport but easy to operate too. A decompression system for easy starting makes the engine much easier to turn over with manual recoil start and a Programmed Ignition (PGM-IG) accurately controls ignition timing to provide optimum torque and throttle response. Easy manual tilt allows the engine to be tilted up in stages, lifting the engine up or down allows you to manually trim the boat to allow maximum engine performance and fuel efficiency. Tilting of engine also allows you to protect the propeller when you find yourself near rocks or the water's edge. A high output 6 amp charging outlet maintains battery charge and powers electronics on-board, even at trolling speed. A soft-grip throttle handle and twist-lock on the tiller control engine allows you to roll on and off the power all day long or lock it in position, just like cruise control.

The Honda BF8SHU and BF8LHU feature tiller control, F-N-R gears, recoil start, manual tilt and are supplied complete with standard alloy propeller, safety lanyard and 12.5 litre fuel tank. Weight of 42KG.
